Balance or Imbalance: How Your Body Teaches You What You Need

Life constantly offers us two choices:

Balance
or
Imbalance

Each choice holds its own kind of wisdom.
One brings harmony.
The other brings a lesson.

Often, those lessons begin quietly—with subtle discomfort, fatigue, or emotional shifts. But when we don’t listen, the whispers grow louder, becoming pain, dis-ease, and eventually chronic imbalance. These symptoms are messages from the body, guiding us back toward alignment.

🌿 Dis-ease Is Not a Failure—It’s a Signal

  • Dis-ease is a sign that something is off. A form of inner discomfort.

  • Chronic dis-ease develops when that signal is ignored for too long.

When we experience imbalance—whether physical, emotional, or energetic—it’s usually easy to detect. You might eat something that makes you feel bloated, anxious, or tired. That’s imbalance. But here’s where it gets tricky: sometimes, even something healthy causes a reaction, and that points to a deeper energetic block.

🧠 When Food Feels “Good” But Isn’t

This part can be hard to explain—so stay with me.

The modern food industry adds chemicals to our food that manipulate the brain’s reward system. These additives are designed to cause a dopamine spike—the same brain chemical responsible for pleasure, motivation… and addiction.

Yes, the same dopamine surge involved in gambling addiction is activated by processed snacks, fast food, and "natural flavors" engineered in a lab. These substances hijack your brain, reinforcing cravings for food that doesn’t actually serve your body.

🍌 My Banana Story

Here’s a personal example. I used to love bananas—but every time I ate one, I’d get stomach pain and bloating. I had no issues with them when I was younger, so this shift felt confusing and frustrating.

Working with my energy healer, we used tools like the sway test and explored the imbalances in my chakras and meridians. Over time, we rebalanced my system and created a personalized plan so I could reintroduce foods like bananas—without the symptoms.

This wasn’t just about food intolerance—it was about energy.

🍓 Returning to Wholeness

Once I cleared the chemical interference from my system, something incredible happened:

I craved real food again—fruit, vegetables, and whole, nutrient-dense meals.
My body no longer screamed for sugar, salt, or artificial flavors.
My intuition got louder.
My energy stabilized.
And food became a nourishing experience, not a compulsive one.

Back when I worked in a corporate environment, I’d often reach for quick, processed snacks over fresh fruit. My brain craved the dopamine hit. Sometimes, it felt like I couldn’t stop myself. I’d eat far more than a serving size because my body wasn’t satisfied—it was stimulated.

Now I know the difference between the two.

🌱 The Power of Intuition

In today’s world, making balanced choices can feel overwhelming. Misinformation is everywhere. Marketing is manipulative. And the noise is loud.

But underneath all of that is something you can always trust:
Your intuition.

Learning to recognize imbalance and realign with your truth is part of the awakening process. When you lean into your energy—learn to feel it, interpret it, and work with it—you return to your center. You begin to see clearly, choose consciously, and nourish your body in a way that’s rooted in love.

With love,
Jeri
