The Great Divide: Choosing Peace in a Polarized World
We can all feel it — the tension in the air, the constant push and pull of opinions, the way every conversation seems to land on opposite sides of a fence. The world feels divided. But maybe this isn’t just politics or culture at play. Maybe it’s a spiritual test — a chance for humanity to see what we’re truly made of.
Right now, many of us are holding beliefs we never actually chose. They were handed down through family, religion, media, and tradition. And without realizing it, we fight to defend them, not because they align with our soul, but because they feel familiar. It’s what we’ve always known.
But here’s the truth: when we’re busy fighting each other, we lose sight of what’s really happening. We stop asking the deeper questions. Who benefits from our division? What freedoms are slowly being taken while we’re distracted by fear and outrage?
Fear is clever like that — it keeps us reacting instead of reflecting. It keeps our nervous systems in survival mode, looping in fight or flight. And when that happens, we stop acting from our heart and start reacting from our animal instincts. That’s when the world feels harsh and hopeless.
In the face of violence and imbalance, we really have only one choice: divine peace.
That doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine. It means staying rooted in your center while the world around you storms. It means acting, but not getting worked up. Speaking truth, but not from anger. Protecting what is sacred, but doing it from love, not fear.
Because when you come from that place — from your higher self, from divine awareness — you stop feeding the chaos. You become an anchor for balance. You stop needing to be “right” and start choosing what’s real: compassion, clarity, and truth.
The spiritual path isn’t about choosing sides. It’s about standing in the middle and seeing that both sides are part of the whole. It’s realizing that balance is always present — sometimes loud, sometimes quiet — but always there, waiting for us to remember.
This is our collective test. Can we hold peace when the world wants us to pick a fight? Can we trust that love is stronger than fear, even when fear is shouting the loudest?
Because the moment we choose peace — real, embodied peace — we become impossible to control. We reclaim our sovereignty. We remember our divinity. And that’s when true change begins.
Reflection:
When you feel the world spinning faster, pause.
Breathe. Feel your body.
Ask yourself, Am I acting from fear or from love?
That question alone can shift everything.
With love,
Jeri
